Warlock – A Class for Everyone to Fear

If you decide to role a Warlock, rest assured that you will have plenty of fun. They are dark casters that use fire and shadow spells to devastate their opponents.  They possess the powers of ‘the dark’ and therefore they are interested in demonology. Because of this they are able to summon demons like imps, succubus, fel hounds, void walkers and infernals. Locks are one of the two classes that can use pets and similar to the Hunter class, Locks too can have a pet by their side at most of the times if their build allows them.

Having a pet at your side makes the game a lot easier especially because you can usually avoid taking many hits. The Warlock class deals great damage with a few of the most popular offensive spells like, for example, shadow bolt. A Warlock however is very well known for ability to fear his enemies which make them run around like chicken without heads. This powerful class is also popular because of their “damage over time” – DoTs spells which also contribute to the overall damage output of a Lock. Click here to watch the video: WoW Warlock Guide

When he combines his spells and abilities right, a Warlock can become a tuff PvP opponent and one of the highest damage dealers in PvE instances and raids. In PvP a Warlock can fear his opponents while applying dots on his target an in PvE he can spam Shadow Bolts and other great spells.

The Warlock has a large variety of spells and skills. One of the most frequently used skills is to summon a Dark Portal. This portal is used to summon players located anywhere on the map to the location of a Warlock. He will need a hand to summon a player. This Dark Portal can be used similar like you would use the meeting stone in front of an instance.

Another helpful ability a Lock has is to place a Soul Stone on a friendly player or himself. If a player is Soul Stoned he can resurrect on the spot upon death. This is very useful in raids and also can reduce the time of CR – corps running, even though its cooldown is 30 minutes. For a Lock, the Soul Stone is great while leveling and while in a party or raid the Soul Stone is usually applied to any player who can resurrect other players upon death (healer). Warlocks are also known for their ability to produce Health Stones which are used similar as the healing potions but they restore even more health. The Warlock can hand out the Health Stones to others as well and at some point the Warlock will be able to summon a Soul Well where everybody in the party or raid can click on to receive a Health Stone. What is nice about the Health Stones is that they do not share the same cool down as Healing Potions which means that you can use the both of them in a longer fight.

The class of Warlocks is great to level up and play. With their damage dealing abilities, demon pets, fears, DoTs and spells which are helpful to the group, they are surely complex characters to play and tuff enemies to fight against. If you like to play with casting classes and want an easy time leveling up, the Warlock class is a great one to chose!
