How to Level Fast in WoW

It’s really a combination of many different methods that you have to use to level as fast as possible in World of Warcraft. While every character, race and class will gain levels in a diferent way. First and foremost, people level by completing quests and gaining experience. Characters gain this exp and levels as they finish tougher and tougher quests. But to really level as fast as possible, there are a few other things you need to be aware of.

You can find a much more indepth guide to levels in World of Warcraft here: WoW Level Guide

Characters really must spend time ‘grinding’ as they go along, where you fight and kill creatures purely for the experience, not necessarily to move forward in the game. When you grind, the tougher the opponent, the more experience you get. But you really want to find a creature that your character can kill with relative ease so you can kill as many as you can as quickly as you can.

Another important thing is that you collect all the right special items as you go along. this makes a huge difference to how fast you level. You can read about all the first special items you need here: WoW Leveling Guide

It is essential that you manage your cash-flow if you want to progress fast and without losing momentum. You need gold to repair items and armor, for mounts, to buy items, and lots more. It’s very important to collect gold and make sre your supply is in the green at all times, otherwise you can get held up for long perios when you run out and will consequently level slower.

Another thing to be aware of is that a rested character gains experience twice as fast from the same actions. A very useful thing to know. This feature of WoW is made for the people who play casually, and not all the time, like many players. For your character to be in a rested state, you also need to take a break fromthe game in real time, to deal with this, many eager players play more than one character at the same time – so that one is resting while the other is adventuring, and so on.

There is a technique to gain levels fast called ‘power leveling’. It requires cooperation with another player who has a character of a higher level than your own. The idea is that their tough character wil lead you through much harder quests that you couldn’t do alone. When you do this you gain much more experience than before, but it is tricky and a bit dangerous. People will do this power leveling service for you in return for gold, items, or perhaps return power leveling services for another one of their characters. Or you could ask a friend.

Beginners Guide to World of Warcraft

What is World of Warcraft?

World of Warcraft or WoW as it is more commonly known, is a MMORPG which is an acronym for “Massively Multi player On-line Role-Playing Game”. In an MMORPG, thousands of players from around the World exist in the same on-line game world at the same time. They leave the real world behind and undertake heroic quests in a land of fantastic adventures.

The game has two warring factions: the Alliance and the Horde. When you have decided which side to play there are nine classes of character to choose from: Shaman, Warlock, Warrior, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest and Rogue. Each class has its own unique set of talents and abilities. You can, depending on the class of character that you have, choose to build your character’s talent trees for damage-per-second (DPS), tanking, healing or a combination of these.

There are 10 races to play: Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Blood Elves and multiple professions you can have: Engineering, Mining, Skinning, Tailoring, First Aid Fishing, Herbalism, Leather working, Jewel crafting, Inscription, Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking and Enchanting. (Note: Within the Rogue class there are two unique secondary professions: Lock Picking and Poisons).

There are thousands of quests to complete with many different kinds of weapons and transportation. In addition, there are four types of Realms which will be the very first decision you will have to make before playing World of Warcraft. Your reward is money and reputation which will increase your skill and power. A good place to start is to find a decent WoW Leveling Guide to help you through this mystical world.

Within the game itself there are two “modes” of character:

  • Player Characters (which are controlled by real people)
  • Non-Player Characters (which are controlled by the games’ software)

So you can find yourself playing a “real” person as well as the games created opponent.
Your character can earn copper, silver or gold to fund your adventures. In addition you will need to work on the different skills for your character.

There are a whole host of guides around and all do pretty much what they claim but some do it better by having additional features such as forums and members areas which help you level your character from 1-70 more easily. Many also have detailed gold guides and the latest up to date information on, for example, Wrath of the Lich King which takes you up to level 80! With that in mind though players are free to go at their own pace and pit their skills against multiple opponents.
