Do you remember what it was like leveling your first character to 60? It seemed to take forever without the luxury of using World of Warcraft Guides.

Herbalism is one of the more popular gathering professions in the World of Warcraft. If you have taken this profession from the beginning, you will have no problem leveling it up together with your character. What are main features of Herbalism?

Herbalism is about gathering various herbs in different areas on the map. So what exactly you can do with herbs? Herbs can be sold in stacks as a raw material on the Auction House. However, combining Herbalism with Alchemy or Inscription will give a really good use of this profession.

How do I find herbs?

It is very easy. Herbs are scattered all over the map. Still, some zones are considered as ‘dry’ with only a few, if any, herbs in them while others are known for their richness. Tracking ability “Find Herbs”, when turned on, will help you see herbs displayed on a minimap, displayed as yellow dots. If you would like to have a record of the herbs you have already picked up then try using an addon such as The Gatherer. This addon will save the positions on the map where you picked up an herb and it also can store the information from a party member or a guild member.

Benefits of Herbalism

Herbalism will provide you with Lifeblood ability. Lifeblood costs no mana, it is an instant cast and it is able to heal you overtime. Lifeblood can be used only on every 3 minutes. If you are levelling a char, this ability can prove to be very useful especially for non-healing classes.

Another major benefit of Herbalism is saving gold which you will spend in any case on needed potions, flasks or elixirs. These come as a necessity in any raid or instance and as an Herbalist you can make them for yourself or sell them to other players. Different Classes and Herbalism

Is there any particular class which is perfectly suited for herbalism? The answer to this question is, no. Choosing Herbalism as a profession is solely your choice, however, keep in mind that some classes need it more than other classes. For example, most of the Herbalists are usually healers or tanks since those two specs always need a lot of potions and flasks. Being a Druid can come in handy when gathering herbs since Druids have a flight form which is instant. Shapeshifting instantly into your flight form and picking up herbs while still in this form can make gathering herbs quite easy.

Other useful assets for Herbalism

Novice gatherers think that normal bags will do just fine for their gathering needs. Think twice! They will soon realize that they are short with space in their bags. However, this problem is easily solved with the help of Tailors who can make special Herbal bags. These bags can carry only herbs, but they are offering additional bag slots than normal bags do.

This WoW warlock guide will illustrate to everyone the primary benefits of choosing to play this character class. Warlocks are best known for their shadow and fire magic spells and particularly for the ability to summon and control demons. Casting unholy spells of pain and suffering are a warlock’s bread and butter. They can inflict massive devastation from a distance but are almost never in the middle of the fighting because of their low armor rating. Many of a warlock’s spells make use of soul shards which must be collected from slain mobs. The warlock is one of the fastest characters to level and really shines when playing solo. In groups, warlocks are often the biggest damage dealers.

The only races allowed to be warlocks are Blood Elves, Gnomes, Humans, Orcs, and Undead. The single armor type a warlock may wear is of the cloth variety. They can only use wands, swords (some), staves, and daggers as weapons.

Warlocks are best known for their ability to summon and control a variety of demonic minions including Felguards, Doomguards, Infernals, Felhunters, Succubi, Voidwalkers, and Imps. Each minion has their place with both pluses and minuses. Warlocks possess a wide variety of magic spells at their command including damage over time spells, direct damage spells (DD’s), and some useful utility spells. They’re even able to conjure up some useful items and resurrect fallen friends by expending soul shards. They also possess some limited self healing power when using drain life, and good crowd control abilities ,too. Since warlocks can acquire their mounts via quests, they save bucket loads of gold that the other classes need to spend.

The Affliction talent tree focuses on drains, curses, and DoT’s. When farming and raiding, this is a great spec to take. Affliction is definitely the spec to take when you want to power-level a warlock as quickly as possible.

The Demonology talent tree uses talents that are designed to make summoned demonic minions stronger and more useful, in addition to improving conjuring spells and providing you better passive bonuses. For player versus player, Demonology is a an excellent talent tree. For leveling up, it is almost as good as Affliction. You’ll be heavily reliant on your demon minions when using this spec.

The Destruction spec uses talents that are meant to amplify the power of a warlock’s fire and shadow spells, which are mostly direct damage (DD) spells that can be used to quickly take out one mob. This spec is hard to use effectively at lower levels and is more often used once players get to higher levels. Although you are able to cause massive damage, there are some downsides to this spec that should be considered. You’ll require a whole lot of soul shards, you will burn through mana really quickly, and soloing will be really difficult. Though on the flip side, it can be really fun.
