Nintendo Release an Amazing Beat Em Up With Wii’s Tournament of Legends!

The range of Nintendo Wii exclusive Beat Em Up titles continues to increase lately as  following hot on the heels of Tatsunoko vs Capcom we have a  completely new title; Wii’s Tournament of Legends. From  producers High Voltage, this  game is the beginning in a projected series of weapons-centric  combat games.

Wii’s Tournament of Legends centres upon Greek and Roman mythology,  that includes fighters primarily based on fables from that era.  Each character is armed with a characteristic weapon, but as the single  player mission goes on this weapon can be improved and  levelled up with different abilities, which helps to make  battle quite diverse.

The gaming is as normal for a Beat Em Up,  but a number of fascinating additions have been thrown  in. The camera actually pans to favour the gamer dealing the most  harm, so if you’re delivering quite a  pasting to your enemy the camera will close in on your moves.  Moreover, each stage in Wii’s Tournament of Legends includes a ‘Guardian’, an NPC that  will run in at random intervals to assault you and your opponent. These attacks  should be dodged or countered, and add an extra dynamic to the game.

The Wiimote and Nunchuk are each employed in Wii’s Tournament of Legends, and each controller  corresponds to both your right or left arm as you assault and block.  However, control pad recognition is featured for those  that like the old school style.

This game  is looking to be another amazing Wii Beat Em Up. The combat is looking  strong  enough and the little extras help to spice up a tried and tested  genre. The subject matter is  refreshing and makes a good change to the  usual range of characters we would usually see. Wii’s Tournament of Legends is launched this summer time, and could well be worth  checking out!
