As a miner in World of Warcraft, you should know that certain ores are more valuable than others. This article looks at four of the more valuable ores, two of which would interest low-level miners and two for the high-level folks.

If you are going to be mining with a relatively low-level character, Mithril and Thorium are the ores for you. You can make good money simply by selling the mined ores in the Auction House. But if you have access to a Jewelcrafter, you can do even better. That’s because the gems that are produced from these ores are much more valuable than the raw ore itself.

Saronite is the main mineral of the Wrath of the Lich King. All of the metal-using professions need quantities of this mineral for their leveling and crafting, making it a great seller. Even better, Saronite is the top ore for producing important gems, making it even more valuable.

While Saronite is very valuable, Titanium is the ultimate ore. It is extremely rare, yet is needed for almost all the high-level Jewelcrafter and Engineer recipes. Given those two characteristics, you can see why Titanium is so incredibly valuable.
