Farmville Currency

There are two general kinds of currency in Farmville: Coins and Farm Cash. Farm Cash is a rare type of money. The Farmer can buy elite items if they have this kind of money. A special item named the Flying Saucer was only purchasable with Farm Cash during the Alien Invasion in Farmville. Other structures such as the Tea House, Pagoda, and Groovy Barn require that you save up your Farm Cash or purchase more on your account.

Additional Coins and Cash can be bought with actual cash through a credit card or Paypal. Currently, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted as payment. I suggest that you spend your real money on Farm Cash instead of using it on Farm Coins. Farm Coins are relatively easy to obtain than Farm Cash.

Coins

Coins are the basic run of the mill currency that you will deal with most of the time. When you plow, plant or buy certain objects, coins are what you’ll spend. You receive coins when you harvest animals or crops. When you get yarn from a cat, coins will be added to your account immediately. The same goes for trees; when you harvest a banana tree, you don’t receive bananas, you get coins. Keeping a close watch on your coin balance will help you in deciding what crops to plant. There are times when you have to choose between planting a whole field of a low-cost crop or growing just a few squares of a pricey crop. To determine which is giving you the mostearnings, keep a calculator close at hand.

Farm Cash

Farm cash is generated on your account at the rate of 1 a day, so DON’T SPEND YOUR FARM CASH ON ANYTHING YOU CAN BUY WITH COINS!!! . Make sure that you always think carefully before spending your FarmCash. Items such as special buildings, special farmville animals during events, fuel for your vehicles can only be purchased using Farm Cash. Keep your Farm Cash until you absolutely need it!!!  Only use it for unique objects during special ocassions which will help obtain more special items. Good purchases include rare animals like the Baby Turkey introduced during the Thanksgiving event (though there is a Wild Turkey available as a lost animal during this event), decorations only available during that event, and whatever items that you believe your farm can’t do without. Remember, it’s your farm so make it reflect your own character.

If you will buy vehicles such as a tractor or seeder, be prepared to handle the cost of fuel. For your vehicle to serve its purpose, it needs to be gassed up. If not it will simply be an expensive decoration. If you are building a large farm with several vehicles, you may want to think about using your real money to buy Farm Cash to help keep things running smoothly.

The crops in Farmville can be grouped into three: Animals, Trees, and Regular Crops.  For further info about Trees topic read Farmville Trees.
