One of the most entertaining activities on the game Club Penguin is to visit the different parties and events that are planned. These parties are usually held once each month and often follow a theme, such as the {Christmas,St. Patrick’s,April Fool’s} Party or the Wild West Party. But one of the biggest parties each year is the Club Penguin Medieval Party, which was first held in May of ‘08 and is planned again for May, 2009. Almost all of the areas in the game are re-designed for the event and there are a lot of exciting things players can do.

The first Medieval Party occurred between May 16, 2008 and May 25, 2008. It was one of the biggest parties in Club Penguin history. Most of the rooms in the game were decorated. And one of the most anticipated things was the free item that was offered. In 2008, there were two items that penguins could obtain for free. The first one was the Squire Tunic available at the Dock. The second one was a wizard hat which you got at the Lighthouse. The wizard hat was first released in the Halloween ‘06 Party.

Dragon in the Mines

One of the most popular attractions was a dragon that appeared inside the Mines. The Switchbox 3000 device, which normally appears in the Stage was moved to the Mine to control the dragon.

Magic Mirror

At the Mountain there was a Magic Mirror which operated in a way similar to that of a “Magic 8″ ball.

Special Clothing

In the then current issue of Penguin Style there was a dragon, knight and princess costume for member Penguins, medieval backgrounds and a surprise note from the party committee about preparing for this party. The clothing items could be purchased with coins by Members.

Tree Fort

This room was a special room that only appeared during the Medieval Party. It was a place to chill out and have fun. One fun feature was a hole in the tree where random colored Puffles would appear and make faces at you.

The 2009 Medieval Party

The 2009 edition of the Club Penguin Medieval Party will be held from May 8, 2009 through May 17, 2009. Club Penguin has only released a few details about the party but it looks to be as big, if not bigger than last year’s!
