Starting Out

One of the main keys to success in this class, is making sure that your character is right for the job. Knowledge of personal strengths allows you to match with the abilities of a hunter. Although the name tends to conjure up pictures of tracking down and shooting animals, the hunter class is much more than that. Playing this can be a bit tricky as the hunter has specific  strengths and weaknesses.

What a hunter excels at: Ranged warfare, including the use of bows, guns or crossbows. They are incredibly effective at dispatching their enemies with these means. Survival and tracking are two other skills that the hunter has under its belt. Much of the damage taken from an attack can be taken by a pet in this class, giving more time for play. Now that you are aware of the hunters skills, you can now plan your attack. Victory can be gained by remaining far from danger. It is very important to invest in a pet as a hunter since they can take up the slack when it comes to melee fighting. While they are getting up close and personal, the hunter can stay back and deal out damage from a distance.

Your hunter and choosing the right profession

Now that you’ve decided to play this class, you’re going to need to pick a profession that meshes well with a hunter’s innate abilities. The best professions to choose are skinning and leatherworking as this will allow you to make your own armor. Mining and skinning are two other professions that mix well, these together allow the player to buy weapons and armor. The professions that really don’t mesh well with a hunter are alchemy, tailoring or enchanting.

The other classes may find these professions very useful, where as the hunter gains no benefit. Herbalism on the other hand can be used for making potions to enable healing and quite a good profession in this respect. This is very helpful until you can get a pet to aid  you with melee fighting.

The Weapons

As we mentioned previously, the hunter shines at ranged warfare. You may just want to focus on crossbows and bows, unless you develop the skill to use guns as well. When you first start out, you’ll get a pretty basic bow, but you can purchase a more effective one as you progressive through the levels that will earn you more ability and help you become more accurate. This WoW warlock guide will illustrate to everyone the primary benefits of choosing to play this character class. Warlocks are best known for their shadow and fire magic spells and particularly for the ability to summon and control demons. Casting unholy spells of pain and suffering are a warlock’s bread and butter. They can inflict massive devastation from a distance but are almost never in the middle of the fighting because of their low armor rating. Many of a warlock’s spells make use of soul shards which must be collected from slain mobs. The warlock is one of the fastest characters to level and really shines when playing solo. Warlocks are best known for their ability to summon and control a variety of demonic minions including Felguards, Doomguards, Infernals, Felhunters, Succubi, Voidwalkers, and Imps. Each minion has their place with both pluses and minuses. Warlocks possess a wide variety of magic spells at their command including damage over time spells, direct damage spells (DD’s), and some useful utility spells. They’re even able to conjure up some useful items and resurrect fallen friends by expending soul shards. They also possess some limited self healing power when using drain life, and good crowd control abilities ,too. Since warlocks can acquire their mounts via quests, they save bucket loads of gold that the other classes need to spend.

The Affliction talent tree focuses on drains, curses, and DoT’s. When farming and raiding, this is a great spec to take. Affliction is definitely the spec to take when you want to power-level a warlock as quickly as possible.

The Demonology talent tree uses talents that are designed to make summoned demonic minions stronger and more useful, in addition to improving conjuring spells and providing you better passive bonuses. For player versus player, Demonology is a an excellent talent tree. For leveling up, it is almost as good as Affliction. You’ll be heavily reliant on your demon minions when using this spec.

The Destruction spec uses talents that are meant to amplify the power of a warlock’s fire and shadow spells, which are mostly direct damage (DD) spells that can be used to quickly take out one mob. This spec is hard to use effectively at lower levels and is more often used once players get to higher levels. Although you are able to cause massive damage, there are some downsides to this spec that should be considered. You’ll require a whole lot of soul shards, you will burn through mana really quickly, and soloing will be really difficult. Though on the flip side, it can be really fun.

Druids are a very unique class.  They join Death Knights as the only class that doesn’t get a shield when tanking.  Druids can also heal, and DPS.  They have a wide rainbow of uses, because in cat form they can also stealth like a rogue.  When a druid is in a shape shift form, they are immune to polymorph.  If they get polymorph cast on them, they can simply shape shift out of it.
The moonkin form becomes available to Druids who specialize down the balance tree.  The moonkin is a popular form that allows a Druid to become much like a mage, except they receive 370% armour bonuses, which makes them very difficult to kill as well.  Additionally, they have a passive buff to allies that give 5% extra critical chance, 2% mana refunded on criticals, 3% spell haste and an additional 5% damage based off of your total spirit.
Druids even get a travel form that allows them to travel fasters while outdoors.  It increases travel speed by 40%. 
Their tanking forms are bear form and dire bear form.  Bear form is the first form a Druid receives, which is later replaced by dire bear form, adding additional stamina of 25% and armour contribution of 370%.
When in water, Druids also gain the ability to shift into their water form, which gives them an additional 50% movement speed and the ability to breath underwater.
At level 70, Druids gain access to their flight form.  This form instantaneously turns the Druid into a bird, even if they are falling at the moment.  Their movement speed is increased by 60%, and when they upgrade to their epic flight form, they gain 280% speed.
When going down the restoration tree specialization, the Druid will gain access to the Tree of Life form.  This form transforms the Druid into a walking tree and increases the healing capabilities to every ally within 45 yards of the Druid by 6%.  During this time, the Druid may only cast restoration or neutral spells.  All healing over time spells cost 20% less mana as well.
As healers, Druids overpower the damage coming onto their allies with effective healing over time spells.  Often, they can stack these spells on top of each other and keep a steady flow of health points coming to their allies.  In some cases, they can disperse a healing over time spell for instant healing.
All of the druid forms allow for the druid to either be immune from polymorph effects, or shift out of the polymorph.  This is useful especially when engaging in Player versus Player combat.
Druids are the best class for beginners, because they are able to fill any role in a group.  They can be a healer, a tank, a DPS or even a caster, making it very easy to move to a refreshing new part of the game if you become bored of a particular role.  Just stick to this guide, and trust in its information, and you will become level 80 in no time at all.
