One of the most popular computer games of all time is Warcraft.  Many incarnations of the game have come and gone over the years.  One of the most recent one is called World of Warcraft (WOW).  In this massive multi-player game, players are assigned the task of building and developing a character of a specific race to pit against the evil minions of the world.

An expansion game for WOW is called Burning Crusade. Within it players can choose from a variety of races including the Blood Elves. With the Burning Crusade Blood Elves, players are taking control of a long standing, proud army of stoic warriors.

But not all were killed. The survivors were hardened by this harrowing experience and thus became a darker version of their former selves. Learning from one of the last remaining of the royal bloodline named Kael, they began descending into an even darker escapade of their history. They began tapping into the mystic energy of demonic origin and are now shunned by most of their kin.

Much before this changing of their nature, the high elves were considered outcasts from the Alliance and left their original homeland in search of something else. Thus began the dwelling in Sunwell.

The Blood Elves were determined to create an existence for themselves, a new start.

Their power and influence grew as they settled into their new home, drawing much power from the Sunwell’s mystical energies. They fed on this power, using it to develop their powers to defend themselves from many of the harsh inhabitants of the world around them.

But this hardship strengthened those that survived, making them the powerful Burning Crusade Blood Elves they are today. This is an army worthy of commitment while playing the game of Warcraft. It is a proud days of old and one that should be thought of with admiration and honor.

Yes, Resident Evil 5 was released for Xbox 360 in March! It is finally available and you can either buy it, rent it or just check out game info at multiple locations on the web.

Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 is a super addition to the continuing game series. It picks up about 10 years after the events of the original game and centers the game on getting Umbrella Corp’s biological weapons out of the hands of enemy terrorists.

The decade story gap is filled by reviewing Chris Redfield’s life along the way, where he’s now part of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. As you play along, he’s sent to investigate the threat of a biological organic weapon in the deserts of Africa. He teams up with Sheva Alomar, Chris’s hot new partner there, and because of a need in this release for teamwork, their relationship certainly changes how you play the game.

Chris and Sheva set out to stop Irving from selling Umbrella Corp’s bio-organic weapon on the black market, but find that most of the locals have been turned into creatures called Majini. That’s a horrific zombie state caused by ingesting a sick looking parasite. Although tragic, after that happens they are no longer human, but ferocious beasts.

Combat is promised as Chris and Sheva have to fight their way through these flesh-eating creatures at just about every turn. Wait … was that something moving, or just my imagination? You’ll be relieved to have a partner – and the new graphics and lighting effects are superb!

They find Alpha team demolished, with Captain DeChant severely injured and barely alive. He provides crucial information about Irving just before he dies, and that sends them on a new journey filled with brutal, bone-chilling Majini ambushes in broad daylight as well as the dead of night.

You’ll find Irving, discover a secret weapons testing facility and battle a huge beast that turns out to be Irving after he injected himself with a virus. Find an underground world, discover where the Progenitor virus lab is, along with hundreds of encapsulated human test subjects used to perfect it … and it just keeps getting better.

But be warned. If you’re an avid Resident Evil 1, 2 or 3 fan … and you didn’t care too much for Resident Evil 4, I strongly recommend you try renting before buying. I also recommend checking out the game guides, screen shots, video clips and even “how to” information on controller ops as well. It’s certainly available now.

To save you some time, it’s pretty safe to say that the creepiness of RE 1,2 and 3 is no longer present (and some are downright upset about it), but the action almost never stops.

The creepy feeling of being all alone, pitch black and only 2 bullets left has now been replaced with super co-op play, near HD quality graphics, a hard to beat sound track and scores of enemies at just about every turn. And that’s in multiple light settings, bright daylight, early dawn or pitch black. But it is definitely a different theme than the original RE1, 2 or 3 game series.

The co-op focus of the game makes online play, or with a partner in Xbox 360 split screen mode the best, but hogging the screen all to yourself and allowing AI to control Sheva is still great fun.

You’ll also want to replay the game several times. Why? Well … you get to keep your treasures and BSAA emblems from one game to the next – and – you get to keep your weapons upgrades too! That’s a great game change in my book. It’s even worth a reply as Chris with unlimited Ammo – or for a more traditional Resident Evil experience … try the mercenary mode the second or third time through.

At the end of the day, I have to agree with a large majority of the reviews … fun is fun, and this game has plenty of it. Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 is a must play. Do video game rentals first if you’re not completely sure, or buy if you are, but either way do try the game – then let me know what you think!

Here are a few blackjack tips that we hope you’ll find useful.

1.  Use basic blackjack strategy – because it reduces the house edge to less than 1%.  Of course, the house edge will be lowered to that level only if you are flawless in the use of basic blackjack strategy.

2.  Play at blackjack tables where the dealer must stand on all 17s.  This reduces the house edge a little – compared to situations where the dealer hits soft 17, which actually increases the house advantage.

3.  If you don’t know how to use the insurance bet, don’t attempt use it – it’s one of the worst at the blackjack table.  It may seem like a good bet in the beginning, but once you really think about it and calculate a few numbers, there’s too much of an edge against you, so stay far away from it.

4.  Play against as few decks as possible.  It’s always at your advantage to do this.

5.  Don’t be greedy. One thing that can destroy you when gambling is greed.  When playing blackjack you should set limits for yourself and set aside a certain amount to gamble and once you’ve lost that, head for the exit.  Don’t get sucked in, thinking that if you play long enough you’ll win back the money you have lost – it never usually works that way.  Think similarly when you’re winning.  If you have won a certain amount and you’re above what you have set aside for the night, simply put it in your pocket and forget it for the rest of the night.  That way, you might surprise yourself in the end.

WoW Class Breakdown: Rogues

Rogue

Rogues are another unique class that, like Warriors, do not have a mana pool to use abilities but rather an energy bar. An energy bar starts at full (100) energy and regenerates 20 energy every 2 seconds. A Rogue ability can cost anywhere from 9-60 energy. Rogues have a unique ability (which Druids can also do) to stealth, or turn invisible. This class also has abilities, called finishing moves (kidney shot, eviscerate) and the power of these finishing moves is determined by the amount of combo points (maximum of five) that the Rogue has built up. A Rogue generates combo points through the use of abilities, such as sinister strike, cheap shot, and backstab. The Rogue can sneak around undetected, which is often useful in surprising opponents. Rogues can also perform an unique type of crowd control (one that does not break on damage) called stunlocking. Rogues have cheap shot, which stuns for four seconds, kidney shot, which depending on combo points can range from 2-6 seconds, and gouge, which lasts for 6 seconds. Through this stunlock Rogues can effectively shut down enemy targets for a long period of time. The class is also known for its various defensive abilities such as vanish (returns to stealth), evasion (50% chance to dodge), and cloak of shadows (immune to all spells). It is also known that Rogues are very dependant on the various cooldowns they are given, examples which were mentioned earlier. Rogues, like Warriors, are also good for long-lasting Arena matches as they have an infinite bar of energy. Rogues also have a wide variety of specs that work effectively in Arena.

One Spec that has been very popular since the start of Arena for Rogues has been Mutilate Specc. Mutiliate is an ability that allows the Rogue to attack twice for 60 energy and gain 2 combo points for it. This not only allows for quick use of finishing moves but it also gives the Rogue a substantial amount of burst dps. Mutiliate Rogues are known for their quick usage of cooldowns which combined with Mutiliate damage allows the Rogue to drop their target very quickly. The only downside to this spec is that the Rogue loses some of the survivability of Premeditation and Combat Speccs. None the less, Mutilate Rogues are popular in 2v2,3v3, and on 4dps 5v5 teams, mostly because of their ability to produce such quick damage.

Another very popular specc for Rogues is Premed Daggers. Premed Daggers has burst damage rivaled only by Mutiliate and at the same time Premed Dagger Rogues have access to an amazing ability, Preperation. Preperation resets all cooldowns (time until the ability can be used again) on the Rogues abilities. This not only gives Premediation Rogues the ability to burst players down quicker than any other specc, but also twice the defensive abilities of other Rogues. Premeditation Rogues get their name for the last ability they recieve, Premeditation. This ability applies two extra combo points to the target selected, which allows Premeditation Rogues to use their finishing moves quicker than any other specc.

The Death Knight now terrorizes WoW PvP arenas and battlegrounds. Trained in horrible magics by the Lich King himself, playing a Death Knight in PvP opens up new options in PvP combat. If you choose to play a Death Knight, a new range of melee and casting skills becomes available to you, resulting in the opportunity to craft a singularly deadly character. Thanks to the wide range of skills this class possesses, you you have access to any PvP combat style from melee to support caster, to healer. Make the right decisions and learn the pros and cons of this class and you could soon be leaving a trail of terror, not to mention diseased and dying opponents, wherever you tread in PvP battlegrounds.

A major consideration when you are planning to play a Death Knight in PvP is your talent tree. With talents on the Frost, Unholy, and Blood lines, your play style and the talents you choose will be intimately related. The talents in the Blood line will make your character more like a Warrior, with high DPS physical attacks, while Unholy talents endow your Death Knight with the ability to bring forth diseases and summon help against his foes. Meanwhile, specific Frost talents will aid you along either of the other lines. While of course your personal play style has a big effect, the right mix of Frost and Unholy talents may well be the best possible Death Knight PvP build. Regardless, knowing your PvP combat style will mightily effect how you build out your Death Knight.

Beyond knowing on the best way to spec out your Death Knight, you need to have some idea of how to defeat the other player classes, in PvP and how they are likely to challenge you. Everything to do with Death Knights is still open to debate. Advice from top PvP players who already have significant experience with Death Knights could give you a huge edge in how well you do in PvP combat.
